Officer Jake Frampton
began his career with the
Henderson Police
Department in August of
2003 and was assigned to
the K-9 Unit in November
2007.  

Officer Frampton’s partner,
Mato, is an 18-month-old
Dutch Sheppard.  Mato is a
Narcotic Detector Dog
(NDD) trained to locate the
odors of Marijuana,
Methamphetamine,
Cocaine, and Heroin.

Officer Frampton and Mato
became certified as a K-9
Team in April, 2008, and
within the first month of
working the streets, Mato
located over 218 pounds of
Marijuana, 25 grams of
Cocaine, 38 grams of
Methamphetamine and
over $5,000 in drug
currency.  Mato has an
energetic personality and
has been nicknamed
“Batman” because of his
large ears.
