Henderson Police Department K-9s with their incredible sense of smell are utilized to smell
out and find hidden, lost and evading persons, suspects and drugs. K-9s provide a very
important service and create a much safer environment for our officers and citizens.
Partners with HPD K-9 is a nonprofit organization, which is comprised of K-9 officers,
proactive citizens and those concerned with making a difference in our community. The
organization was established to provide additional support for the HPD K-9 program. Partners
provide community support to the K-9 unit in such areas as fundraising, demonstrations and
related activities.
Funds that are raised may be spent in the following areas: K-9 competitions, advanced training
and support for outreach programs such as D.A.R.E, Adopt a Family, Toys for Tots, and other
activities related to making a safer community by providing the best K-9s possible.
